JK + Jennifer’s Khi Tes Ceremony

Whenever a Hmong couple get’s married. Traditionally, their family will do a ceremony called “Khi Tes” (hand tie ceremony). In this ceremony, friends and families of the newly weds would gather together to celebrate the newly weds and give them blessings. Each person at the event will tie a white string around the newly weds and their family’s wrist while saying their blessings to them.
